I'm inclined to agree with Matsrep, the lyrics sound like they were being made up on the fly at least to some extent. And there are only three chords also suggesting something made up on the fly. But some of the lyrics were probably ones Grant had been tinkering with. I wonder if it's about heroin addiction. As Pádraig says, Grant was super prolific and banging out things all the time so to me it makes sense that he was often tossing bits together to see if they worked. | ||

I believe it was early 1993 - Grant paid Dublin a visit when promoting Fireboy. This included an interview with Dave Fanning and a short performance in The Rock Garden (now Eamonn Doran's) where I believe this song was recorded. |
