Cosmo, It would be interesting to know if Siesta still have copies for sale. Their website catalogue is not up to date ( lacking one or two titles which were released in 2010 and 2012 ) which makes me wonder how accurate/reliable the rest of their website is. I have been collecting music by artists and bands from several of the Nordic Countries for many years and own copies of both the Le Futur Pompiste albums. It has been quite a long time since I last listened to them so I will remedy that this coming week. | ||

Listening to the eponymous album by Le Futur Pompiste on Spotify. The comparisons to Stereolab/Broadcast doesnt do it justice, its almost in tribute band territory. But I like it! | ||

Stuart, I don't remember ever hearing or seeing him but it seems he represented his country at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1967 which I may well have watched. Are you familiar with Labrador aka Flemming Borby. He uses quite a lot of brass ( mainly trumpet and flugelhorn ) on his albums and is a fine songwriter in my opinion. He was born in Denmark but now lives in Berlin, Germany. He released his first album in 2002 and his fourth earlier this year.
