Just saw a grab of Carol Thatcher on tv. Talk about a chip off the old block! Unapologetic, no sign of compassion or any other expected human emotions at the time YOUR MOTHER DIES(!). Reminded me why I hated Thatcher in the first place. As a teacher in Australia, it seems a lot of the fights with governments our union has had with successive governments (both left and right side of politics) stemmed from her mindset. When John Howard lost in 2007, I was singing Ding Dong the witch is dead, but it seems even more appropriate for Thatcher. | ||
