Robert has a big article in today's Sydney Morning Herald (it's probably also in The Age) on Bob Dylan. It's not online yet, but I'll post a link later when it does go online. In the meantime, if you are anywhere where the Herald is sold, buy it. |

Great article, thanks Padraig. I suppose my relationship with Dylan is typical. I go for long stretches wanting nothing to do with him. But, as Robert writes, it's Dylan's organic tendency which saves the day. He gives you what he has to offer at the moment and, like any real person of talent, what he has to offer changes and fluctuates. |

I have a ticket for a "secret" (ish) Dylan show at a 1600 capacity venue next Sunday. Tickets are now going for over $1000. It's 10 years since I last saw him live. I thought then he'd never again be back in Australia. This is his fourth tour here since then. But, given he's 77, this really could be his last ever Sydney show. I got the ticket through sheer dumb luck. I just happened to be checking my email at the exact moment the email came through announcing the show. It sold out in seven minutes. Why I only bought one ticket is something I'll spend the rest of my days trying to work out. Oh, well. |

I'd like to see Bob in a small venue. |
