Thanks for posting this Hugh. The digitization of media has made it so much more difficult for many music artists to make a living, not to mention journalists. At the same time, the technical ease of creating recordings gives voice to many people previously not served by record companies. For those of us who aren't skint, think twice before you use something like Spotify which does not adequately pay artists for their music. Try to buy downloads or physical product directly from the artists when possible. Hopefully Bandcamp is better managed than Pledge. When I buy something from there I always add a couple extra bucks to the suggested purchase price. |

Someone has raised £4,000 to manufacture and produce It's Immaterial's HOUSE FOR SALE Album to deliver orders as promised due to Pledge collapsing. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ itsy-houseforsale-1 |

Randy, I have an outstanding pledge with the Company. Back in January, 2017, I pledged a sum of money for the release of the previously unreleased fourth album ( House For Sale ) by It's Immaterial. Several tentative release dates have come and gone since then. However, the album is now ready to go to manufacturing but the demise of Pledge Music left John Campbell out of pocket and in limbo. He set up a crowdfunding page on the JustGiving website a few days ago and it has already surpassed the amount needed to manufacture the album. I made a donation earlier today and hopefully I will receive my copy of the album in the not too distant future. It has been a long wait. |

I mentioned previously unreleased fourth album above but I believe it would actually have been their third album. |

Hugh, you remind me for the umpteenth time that I'll never hear everything. I've never heard any of It's Immaterial's music. I just visited the discogs page and was amused by the website's inability to pigeonhole the style. It looks like the 2016 reissue of their first album is a good place to a start. |

Randy, The 2016 reissue is undoubtedly the best place to start and once you have listened to it you will appreciate the reason for the website's inability to pigeonhole the style of the band. It is a good package in that it contains the original album plus previously unreleased tracks, alternate versions and BBC ( John Peel ) Sessions. Trou, We must have been compiling our messages at the same time as I was replying to Randy's post ( timed 04.08pm ) and did not see your post until after I had posted mine. John must have been distraught when he discovered that Pledge Music had crashed leaving him with no funds to manufacture the album and it is good that so many people have come out to support his JustGiving Appeal. |

Life is hard and then you die. Something I say often to my friends. This band deserves support. |
