I am just about the last person likely to start this thread. By the time of the Rollers' era of popularity in the US I had totally checked out from radio pop and was burying myself in a mix of old 60s records and new upcoming folks like the Modern Lovers. But the Rollers did one song that got my attention. They did a version of Vanda/Young's "Yesterday's Heroes." I was a massive belated Easybeats fan and anybody who choose a song from the Easys' former writing partnership couldn't be all bad. And Harry Vanda and George Young certainly knew a thing or two about the subject of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5u-rYzSS s7U |
