The Last Pale Light in the West EP by Ben Nichols. The EP was inspired by Cormac McCarthy's novel "Blood Meridian." I am not sure if there are any Cormac McCarthy fans out there, but "Blood Meridian Or The Evening Redness in the West" is one of best American novels of 20th Century and may be the most harrowing one that I have read. The other songs are named as characters in the novel: The Kid; Davy Brown; Chambers; Tobin; Todavine; and the Judge, which is an instrumental. I believe only a young Nick Cave could have written a song in the first person of Judge Holden. Randy, Neither of their first two albums received a proper CD release. Underwater Peoples Records released a CDR Promo of their debut album and Bedroom Suck Records released a CDR Promo of their second album. I will be very surprised if 'Jangle Jargon' sees a CD release.
