I am a very stubborn purchaser of physical music. I also tend to be restless and always looking for another interesting music scene.

On vinyl:

Telephone Numbers - "The Ballad of Doug." This band is one of a recent handful from the U.S. who clearly draw inspiration from the Go-Bees. Released on Spanish label Meritorio Records. I missed the original release. This is a repress of the album.

Espiritusanto - "Exfuturo." Spanish band. I'm new to them but was very impressed by the subtlety and sophistication of their preceding album "Algo Nos Va a Pasar" which I purchased on CD.

On CD, which is always my favored format:

En Attendant Ana - "Principia." From France. There's worthwhile music on here but I like their previous two albums better.

Mercromina - "1995-2005." I've also been buying up their individual albums but this 2CD comp is a convincing introduction to this Spanish band.

The Reds, Pinks & Purples - "The Town That Cursed Your Name." I've raved about this "band" (actually Glenn Donaldson with occasional help from friends) from San Francisco on other occasions. He's another Go-Bees inspired tunesmith with a very specific mood and feel to his music. I feared that this album would be weak, coming so soon after the last album. My fears were groundless.

The Ropes - "Do We Get a Soundcheck? No? Good." This is a comp of music by this vaguely post-punk New York band.

Sundries - "Full of the Joys of Spring and Magic Johnson EPs." I've raved about this London indie-pop band on here already. They bring a refreshingly fresh-faced sound to our jaded second decade of the 21st Century. There are still TWO remaining copies available from their Bandcamp page: https://thesundries.bandcamp.com/album/f ull-of-the-joys-of-spring-and-magic-john son-eps

I have music coming in all the time. Those listed above are just a handful of the as-yet-unfiled stack on my dining table. In fact, DHL tell me to expect a shipment from Argentina Wednesday next. It will consist of 21 CDs by Argentine artists purchased at my request off the local market board by an Argentino acquaintance who unwisely offered to act as my purchasing agent there. This will be the third such package I've received through him over the past two years.

I have the Robert Forster album coming. I've also ordered the latest Bastien Lallemant album for the second time. On the first order the record label sent me an album by somebody else.

Yes. I have a problem. But I love the music!

Randy, is that Lallement's Les Micros Siestes Acoustiques Vol. 1? I haven't got round to it yet, looking forward to your opinion!

Nice haul, David. There is no Sanity shop anywhere near me.

I'm just back from a Salvation Army charity shop, where I got three CDs for $1 each.

Bird - The Process EP, never heard of this before, and couldn't find a review for it when I googled it, but it looks interesting.

Angélique Kidjo - Fifa.

Hallam Foe soundtrack. I've never heard of the film, but there are lots of Scottish bands (Orange Juice, King Creosote, Future Pilot AKA, etc) on the soundtrack I have heard of. Presumably the film is Scottish too.
