Stuart, I think he’s just singing this one in a lower register. I don’t think it’s a permanent, crack pipe-induced deepening of his voice. At least I hope not, for his sake. I like your description of it having “that old Dando skip to it”. I was thinking something similar, though not those exact words. And yes, it was tragic to read about the co-writer. I’d never heard of him or his band QTY. Another musician to check out, another rabbit hole to go down. | ||

The Weather Prophets – Almost prayed Always cool when you switch on the radio first thing and it’s one of your all-time favourites.
