Last night's David Byrne show in Sydney was somehow even better than his last performance here in 2018. A brilliantly conceived and superbly executed production. Bryrne's voice was as good as I've ever heard it - and the man is 73!

One of my all-time favourite gigs (of the more-than-500 I'm guessing I've attended) is David Byrne at the State Theatre, Sydney in 2002.

The next gig I have tickets for is David Byrne in Cardiff, Wales in March.

He also had a 5-star review in the Guardian this week.

I am very much looking forward to the gig!

Mark, I was at that 2018 show and thought he was fantastic. I didn't go this time as I thought there was no way he could be as good again. Looks like I was wrong.

I was the same Pádraig. I was initially hesitant about getting a ticket for this year's David Byrne show as I honestly didn't see how it could top the 2018 performance.

You are in for a treat Simon!

I'm just back from seeing Hothouse Flowers for the first time in 35 years. That'll do me. Twice in a lifetime is enough.

I'm just back from seeing David Byrne for the first time in 24 years.

Twice in a lifetime isn't enough.

Another stupendously theatrical performance and I was very pleased half of the set was Talking Heads songs, including Slippery People, Life During Wartime, And She Was, Psycho Killer.

And it wasn't just me who loved the gig - it's five stars from the Guardian. I'd give it six, Spinal Tap-style...

Stupendous is the word Simon! Glad you had the same experience in Glasgow. My wife and I still find ourselves raving to friends about the show here in Sydney 6 week after the event.

David Byrne really is a man who isn't resting on his laurels.

He could have just done a bog-standard gig with that setlist, but he raised it up several levels.

(And it was Cardiff; I stayed in a slightly ramshackle but clean and friendly hotel in the city centre, about three minutes walk from the venue, so the whole experience was excellent. The room cost £41, which is very, very, very cheap for the UK!)

I procrastinated too much and unfortunately missed David Byrne in Luxembourg. With the money I saved, I can treat myself to a little stay in Paris for the Appartments concert on a barge on the Seine. A consolation prize!

Just bought a ticket for Glenn Tilbrook.

I've seen Chris Difford solo or in a duo three times and he's always great value - helped by the fantastic Squeeze back catalogue.

I'll be intrigued to see how the more 'musically talented' Tilbrook compares!

And I'm off to see James tomorrow in Cardiff.
