Far Out Thoughts: I cannot remember anymore, but did not the name Go-Betweens have something to do with the L P Hartley novel The Go-Between (1953), filmed in 1971 as The Go-Between, from a script by Harold Pinter. I do remember seeing The GBs in London in 1984, when they played a set with a film as guest star (first film, then The GBs). But the film was not that one (The Go-Between), although I think that some paper suggested that I would be that one. A night to remember any way! (Ana Silva on backing vocals on Bachelor Kisses, Part Company single just released, an astonishing Ask, the first time I heard River Of Money. Etc.) Gigography confirms film: 1984.08.14 Everyman Theatre, Hampstead, London, UK (following a screening of the film "The Heiress") |
