Send your copy back to them and they'll send you a new pressing. See their website for details. |

I don't know what to do - I'd like the new version, but like to keep the original. I suppose I'll have to buy the new version as well. At least It's one band that I don't mind p1ssing about re-releasing things. Cheers Jon |

Mine showed up in the mail yesterday. Big improvement. This Night's For You especially benefits. |

yeah, i'm really happy i can listen to this night's for you now. jonathan - why not just burn a copy of the original? and you only have to send them the cd, not the jewel case or anything. |

As I'm lazy and the epic post takes ages to load up, could someone tell me who to contact about this and if this 'service' is available in the UK? Thanks |

I sent mine back before Christmas - new one arrived within days. Here's the info from Lo-Max. The success of The Go-Betwens Oceans Apart has meant that we have had to re-press the album. This has given us the opportunity to include some fabulous liner notes by Andrew Male and to repress the CD improving the sound to our satisfaction. The new pressing of the album is filtering into UK record stores now, but the best way to ensure of buying this version (rather than the old one) is to get it from our shop HERE. Purchasers of the original Lo-Max pressing of the album who wish to exchange the disc for this new pressing can do so by mailing the disc only and a self-addressed stamped (a 1st class stamp covers it) envelope to: Oceans Apart LO-MAX Records Ltd. PO Box 46052 London W9 1YE |

Thanks Stephen and Simon. I gave up on that thread many months ago, so I had no idea about this. I can't say as the sound quality bothers me too much, but I might give it a go. Ta. |
