Pretty good information, Geoff. Tell me (anyone will be fine), will the Mood Maidens make a record one day? And, with violin, cello and pianoforte, are they kind of chamber-influenced?

Now also I read this information - one day after my special Go-Betweens broadcastingshow on which I mentioned, that my last information about Amanda was her appearance with Lindy at Cleopatra Wong. But Amanda has not been at Grants funeral - or am I wrong ?

Carsten, Amanda also did the solo CD (a soundtrack to accompany live performance), "Incognita." Both Cleopatra Wong CDs are also worth seeking out...

Spence, in my own case, it would primarily be admiration for Amanda's arranging skills - something I'm particularly interested in! The way she worked often fairly unconventional instruments into the songs, in a way that enhances their structure without detracting from the songs themselves, is truly admirable.

This probably wasn't the first post I was expecting to make, particularly at the moment. I'm a sometime keys/sax player who was recently trying to explain to my singing/violin-playing daughter how these skills could be well used in a band - and I couldn't explain it better than showing her Amanda in GB "Rock Arena" clips!

And yes, she's beautiful, and "Thankyou" was like a breath of fresh air in a musical desert at the time it came out.
