Can't make up my mind here. Are these guys just recyclers or do they have something?

Opinions sought.

i really liked the first album but by the second they already seemed stuck in a rut but at least they seem to be making an effort, trying something a little different.

similarly, i've seen them live twice: the first time in brighton they were fantastic, edgy and exciting; the second time, in london, they were pretty dull and seemed to be going through the motions.

Isn't recycling good?
I agree with Abigail - first album very good, second a bit similar. I much prefer them, however, to the very boring Franz Ferdinand.

saw them twice, first time supporting flaming lips and they were ok, better visually than aurally. 2nd time a year later supporting the strokes they were more confidant and played a whole lot better. i thought the second album was alright actually, more structured and with better songs than the first record. saw an article on teletext today that says their new album will be heavily influenced by the Dutch national football teams philosophy of total football from the 1970s, and also a book about Ajax!! sounds interesting lol

First LP - album of the year 2003.
Second LP - album of the year 2005.

Inimitable.

British Sea power, Unknown Pleasures tribute band I'm afraid, performed by public schoolboys, you can't even smell the poverty!!
