Saw it last night, excellent.
Apparently JP did all the singing himself, if so he's wasted acting, he could be the new Joe Longthorne!
I'm just wondering if anyone famous has ever got on with both of their parents? It seems in every bio-pic ever there's a lot of underlying tension between the central character & his/her mum/dad/parents.

Must agree rather vehemently, Jerry! EXCELLENT flick...I was prepared to hate it, taking the legacy of the Man in Black very seriously and not particularly caring for either of the two leads...but they both acquitted themselves admirably and I found the whole thing very stirring and moving...Johnny Cash was, back in the day, a total badass!

Part of the success of the film must be due to the fact that T-Bone Burnett, a guy who knows what he's doing, was musical director....
