First a shop appears, then an off topic area, what's next?

I honestly have never seen the off topic section before.
Having said that shouldn't this be moved there, since off topic is the subject we're dicussing.

Many of these threads wander on and off topic at various times, so I'm not sure the Go-Betweens Chat/Off Topic distinction is helpful. But it seems that everybody seems to have found the Off Topic section anyway.

I don't see why it was necessary to create a Go-Betweens Chat/Off Topic distinction in the first place. Was there a complaint from the management? :-)

Yeah, that distinction seems a bit unnecessary. What if a Go-Betweens chat wanders off topic into, say, a wonderful poitical discourse on Italy? It could be a disaster!

Last week this thread was turned into the Magazine thread & moved to off-topic.

I think it's our duty to wander off on various tangents just to make sure the mods are on their toes.

Hmmm...it's a bit petty, me thinks.

Like that time, when the label guy suggested contributors should talk about 'Oceans Apart' and not about the older albums.

A thread can wander off-topic and then back on-topic. For instance, I could post something about the reaction of my Italian friends to the Go-Betweens! (They think they sound like The Smiths, by the way)

Is there a quota of Go-Betweens-related content required in each thread for it to be considered 'on-topic' ? :-)
