popmatters are celebrating ten years of kid a by radiohead this week. it was my album of the noughties, and to be honest although i like stuff like in rainbows, for me this album towers above everything they did before or after. i'd be interested to hear what others think of it, especially in comparison to their other albums. http://www.popmatters.com/pm/feature/132 580-between-the-grooves-radiohead-kid-a/ http://www.popmatters.com/pm/special/sec tion/all-things-reconsidered-the-10th-an niversary-of-radioheads-kid-a/ http://www.popmatters.com/pm/feature/132 585-what-was-it-that-you-tried-to-say-th e-degeneration-of-the-voice-in-k/ |

Radiohead = pish. I find Kid A, and all their other albums, to be tuneless, tedious, and dull. I'm sure my opinion is in the minority, though! :-) |

I just know it's a term that you use around here, Kevin, and it seemed appropriate as I was trying to give a very Kevin-ish response. |

Pish as in a drunken leak is Welsh. I like Kid A as much now as I did the 1st time. There's depth in them there tunes. Amnesiac has grown on me down the years. Not quite sa good tho. |

i actually do find the majority of radioheads music to be "tuneless, tedious, and dull" however, kid a is a solid gold masterpiece. maybe not original, but they took their influences and used them brilliantly. |

Like Kid A a lot, definitely my favorite, and I like much of what followed it, including a little-mentioned live album. I enjoy them when I play them but don't feel compelled to put them on all that often. |

kid a? hmm. kid a and amnesiac were two albums i liked for a certain time (the first radiohead albums weren't my cup of tea/coffee and still are). i went to a concert and i also bought the follow up album hail to the thief. but to be honest: i don't like radiohead. i don't like the voice, i think there is much more avantgarde/expereimental music out there which is more interesting than radiohead. and creep or karma police or whatever the critics and the public call 'great' is (in my humple opinion) just boring (and the concert was boring, too). it seems that i never will fall in love with them (but i will listen to kid a tomorrow on my way to work. if something changed my opinion about radiohead i will report, otherwise i will remain in silent). |

Kid A is very decent, but I don't listen to it as often as Wilco's best albums from the past ten years. Both of these bands have there critics, and I can find fault with both of them as well. |

first i have to admit that i don't listened to kid a thi smorning. the reason is that i never imported it into i tunes. and now i am too lazy to pull it out from one of my boxes where i have put the ones i want to sell. i think i will postbone the listening. michael, wilco is another band i can't stand. i never liked any of there albums, and i assure that i tried it with several ones. |
