I'll be listening to the slowed down version of "Tenth Street Freeze-out" from "You can Trust Your Car to the Man that Wears the Star" tonight. One of the live versions where Springsteen recounts the story of them first meeting. Something tells me he was one of the nice guys... |

I always got that impression, Andrew, as well as the sense that he and Bruce had a deep and abiding bond. Saw him many times on stage, and I find this one really sad. |

Sad indeed. Ranks right up there with King Curtis as one of the two great rock sax players. Too bad those two never had a chance to play together (King Curtis was killed in 1971). |
