I bought The Word magazine today, the one with Neil Young on the cover. There is a 2 and a quarter page tribute/obituary for Grant!! I buy quite a few mags (Uncut, Mojo, Record Collector) and they all had small tributes to Grant, I was particularly annoyed at Uncut, so hats off to The Word for this amazing sized tribute. The Word piece has the heading Bohemian Rhapsody, in keeping with everybodys notion of Grants persona. It is a thoughtful piece, liberally sprinkled with quotes from Bernard (Lo-max) and Robert, as well as the authors (Andy Gill) feelings about Grant. One or two interesting tit bits I picked up were that Grant wrote Cattle and Cane while sharing a house with Nick Cave in London. Also, the producer of 24 (which to my shame I have always seemed to miss) based an episode around a company named McLennan - Forster.
Its worth picking this mag up this month, especially if you are also a Neil Young fan.

Just to add to the Cattle and Cane/Nick Cave connection, Kevin. Grant is reputed to have written the song on an acoustic guitar owned by Nick Cave. Nick was/is of the belief that every guitar/piano/instrument has a certain number of songs in it which subsequently prompted him to accuse Grant of stealing the guitar's only good song!!!!
