Nirvana? Afghan Whigs? Husker Du? Replacements? Drive By Truckers? or your own choice? I would go for REM, if they had split after Reckoning. They didnt, so therefore I wil go for Pixies. Bob Dylan Velvet Underground Patti Smith(Group) Television Blondie Talking Heads The Byrds Pere Ubu R.E.M. are a good bet for longevity. Even the iffy albums (Life's Rich Pageant/Document/Green) have some great moments.
