Does anyone know what song features that line? I heard it peformed acoustic in San Frnacisco many years ago, but have never stumbled across it on record. I remember it being a beautiful song. B | ||

Hello Anonymous, I think the song is simply called that: "suicide at home". It's not on any official release that I know of. I heard it when Robert & Grant performed it during their accoustic tour in the late nineties. It is a simple, beautiful song written by Grant, I think. Cichli | ||

It appears on the "Far Out Corporation" studio CD - Grant McLennan + friends (not R.Forster) made this one-off album in '98. I haven't really listened to the whole LP enough yet to forge an opinion but the McLennan sung "Suicide at Home" is good and sounds like how it would have been recorded either with the Go-Betweens or solo. I bought it on e-bay where itseems to be sporadically available. | ||

I dug up a tape I had of an acoustic tape of Grant and Robert in 1997. I hadn't listened to it in a while. 'Suicide at home' is a really fine song, but pretty dark. I've transcribed the lyrics and put them on the lyrics section of the site. Cichli | ||
