By the way, Jeff's group The Concubines are teriffic. Can't explain what they are like, reference points: Monochrome Set, El Records and The Happy Family, but get thei new EP on CD its really nice. My favourite is The Accusation, some lovely intricate songwriting and guitar playing going on.

Hey, thanks for the endorsement, Spence. I always enjoy hearing your feedback on our stuff. Sadly, the Concubines story may be coming to an end in the not-too-distant future. Our bassist/singer Wade is being forced to move far away (up by Portland, Oregon) due to the harsh reality of economics (his photography studio is going out of business and he can't afford to live in the Bay Area anymore). We may continue on in some form, but that has yet to be seen. In the meantime, we're going to record the rest of our songs this fall before Wade moves, and hopefully get a few more shows. So sad.

Will there be a farewell Concubines concert, a la "The Last Waltz"? Forster, are you out there? A cameo appearance would be a great way to get back in the limelight..

You're not kiddin' about the Bay Area, man. I read somewhere that millionaires are now considered "middle-class" there. Unbelievable.
