I had never heard them until I heard their new 'best of' (Faded Glamour) but they are superb. Anyone care to fill me in on some background details? |

This link is inaccurate. Animals That Swim continued until at least 2001 because I saw them in 2000 and 2001 at the Monarch/Barfly. The line up changed slightly but they put out a third LP which I have but I can't remember the name at the moment. The first time I saw them live (at Shepherds Bush Empire in 1995 or 1996) the singer was still playing drums live. I think he played drums on all the records but in later years when they played live they employed a drummer. I always found that most of their songs took a few listens to get used to probably because the way the lyrics flow isn't like most conventional songs. |
