Anyone rate this group?

I have just imported their 2 albums into iTunes, and I love them.

Funnily though their second album sounds like early Orange Juice!!

Yes I like this music very much. I think one of the most exciting bands that appeared in the nineties with Interpol and a few others...

I listen their second album all the time.

their sound is very raw and powerful, it sounds very fat, nothing's compressed, its a wide sound that was used in the 70's, I love them more and more that I play them. They have a humour and they look like cartoons too!

I quite like them, although isnt there a suggestion that they are a "manufactured" indie band. this could be an urban myth i suppose, i also remember reading that they didnt write the songs, some mysterious older guy apparently wrote them.

I heard a similar thing about them being manufactured but I don't believe it, may be because Angelo (is it ) co-wrote some of the songs??

I read a lot of stuff about them a couple of years ago, when they were all over the media...As I remember, they consist of three brothers, along with a cousin...their dad, the titular Leon, was a minister, so they are making a break with family tradition by forming a rock n roll band. They are from somewhere in the deep South - I want to say..Arkansas? Don't have any records by them, but I like what they do - I really dig their simplicity, if you know what I mean...
