I love Stereolab, dig their schtick and all, but it occurred to me, as I was listening to their new comp, that their song titles are pretty silly. So, I made up some of my own. For added verisimilitude I put in a few of the real ones, just to make the others blend in:

Sigmoid Avoidance Detector
Smegma Reduction Syndrome
Karmic Infarction Love Bubble
Marshmallow Bunny Constellation
Window Weirdo
Stamina Drainer
Lo-boob Oscillator
Strapalicious Detente
Binary Lover
Days from the Monkey Plant

Feel free to add any you come up with...

In the early 90s someone sent out fake track titles for a new Morrissey album. They were very convincing. The only one I can recall was Is Dancing So Very Wrong?

I think I saw that and thought it was hi-larious...it's almost hard to parody him, because his stuff is almost self-parodying to begin with...and I say that as a big fan...

Nice one LK!

Wasnt there something similar in NME in the 80s for Cocteau Twins song titles? - cant remember any examples but they would be something like "Fluffy egg lashes", or "Milky violet kisses"

Have Carl Spangler come over and take a bite of it, it may be a candy bar. At lease the floaty in the pool at Bushwood Country Club was. He can get rid of any gophers that are tearing up your lawn as well. Au revoir, gopher!

I wonder if, now that he's doing more "serious work", scenes like that embarrass B. Murray?

Hardin, I doubt we will ever see another "over the top" character like Carl being portrayed by Bill. I like some of Murray's more darker roles though, like Razors Edge and Lost In Translation.
