Thanks to the wonders of Napster I noticed they had the 2nd Jack Frost album as one of their "new releases" today. I bought the first album, but never got this so I eagerly downloaded it. Sounds pretty good, Grants acoustic is so distinctive that you can spot it a mile off. According to Napster this is a 2006 release so I guess that means its going to be available again, if indeed it was ever deleted, or hard to find in the first place.

I'll be interested to hear your take on "Snow Job" after you absorb it more, Kevin. I'm very fond of it. While it might not contain Grant's best songs, I find it the most enjoyable album he's made outside of the Go-Betweens. There's lots of great music and harmonizing on the album, and I like that it's a lot more natural-sounding (few if any drum machines) than the first Jack Frost album.

Cousin/Angel off Snow Job would have to be one of Grant's more sublime pieces.
