Thanks to the wonders of Napster I noticed they had the 2nd Jack Frost album as one of their "new releases" today. I bought the first album, but never got this so I eagerly downloaded it. Sounds pretty good, Grants acoustic is so distinctive that you can spot it a mile off. According to Napster this is a 2006 release so I guess that means its going to be available again, if indeed it was ever deleted, or hard to find in the first place. http://www.karmichit.com/jack_frost2.htm http://www.karmichit.com/JFtrackxtrack.htm |

I'll be interested to hear your take on "Snow Job" after you absorb it more, Kevin. I'm very fond of it. While it might not contain Grant's best songs, I find it the most enjoyable album he's made outside of the Go-Betweens. There's lots of great music and harmonizing on the album, and I like that it's a lot more natural-sounding (few if any drum machines) than the first Jack Frost album. |

Cousin/Angel off Snow Job would have to be one of Grant's more sublime pieces. |
