Spence - you seem to the biggest fan on the board of Tweedy and co. Here he is doing an unreleased Wilco song. I relate to the lyrics far too much....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG9LZvKDEZ0

Spence, I didnt know you had your own myspace, stumbled across it while on the Winnebago myspace.
Your twin girls are very cute. I say that as the father of two girls who are 9 and 11 year old devils :-)

ps
Listening to Kicking Television by Wilco which is the only live album I have enjoyed in what seems like 20 years.

Cheers kev

Yeah its just a wee page with some junk on it!

Grace and Kitty are fab, they are 18 months going on 5 years at he mo!

Yeah I agree re Wilco album, it really feels like an event the way they have sewn it all together. I especially like the way they can laugh at themselves on Heavy metal drummer. Its a great album, sends shivers down my spine, esp on the change bits on Poor places.

I was just listening to Roger McGuinn on Johnny Walkr show on Radio 2, what a really nice guy, he was smashing, a real icon and great guitarist, he played the Tambourine riff and a big smile came on my face whilst driving the girls back from their granny's!! Can't belive the Byrds version is 41 years old!!

Spence and all other Wilco fans.
Read in Q today that there is a new Wilco album due next April. They have already completed 5 songs after entering the studio in August. The final tracklist will be whittled down from the 25 songs Jeff Tweedy had written. Nice to see he doesnt suffer from writers block, cant wait for this one.

Also news for Spence: that concert DVD of Tweedy, "Sunken Treasure" is, as you guys'd put it, a corker.

Yeah cheers Andy I had a look. I think at the moment its so great that all this stuff is out there, I feel overwhelmed. I think coz I work for myself I end up playing / listening to music all day and night and its bogging me down. I think I need to note all these places where beauties are hidden and visit them when I can take stuff in and process my thoughts as to whether I like it very much or not!!!!
At the moment I sample stuff and think - Great! Then upon listening to it I get bored, but then a week aletr it'll happen for me. New Midlake album, really really sounds so special, but it bores me at the moment I need a week of.
I am recording a session for our second album for the winnebagos this weekend, I always try and switch off to other music when recording, so this is my chance to get my shit together. Actually I gotta problem I don't know how to fit in my Apple Mac, 3 guitars, a pixiano and loads of bags into my titchy car, oh dear! Have to get the bus, but then as Cathal said, Only losers take the bus...
