Yes, happy holidays everyone! Spence is right--it's been quite a year. I'm grateful to everyone on the board for giving me a place to go in the wake of Grant's passing. I'm not sure how I would have gotten through it without all of you. We can't bring Grant back, but I'm glad almost all of us are still here to celebrate his music and life, and to talk about everything else under the sun...mostly the Fall and Josef K these days! :-)

Yes, everyone enjoy the holidays with your loved ones. Thanks Kurt for expressing my feelings as well for the great support group we have here. I feel sad sometimes still about the loss of Grant, but more greatfull in that he shared his incredible gift of song with us.

Yeah, Michael, I wouldn't have known - if "known" is the right word - you all if not for Grant (and Robert, natch). I consider that a pretty nice gift. Spread all over the place, and we find common ground, far more often than not, right here. It's actually really remarkable and, in a way, a nice testament to what the GBs were. I'd like to think Grant would appreciate it.

Everyone's taken all the good lines already, so I'll just say likewise to it all...and here's to happier days.

Speaking of happier days, we could certainly use some here in Michigan. I live in what used to be a booming township, and now our local high school is going to lay off teachers next month.

The loss of auto related jobs here in Michigan is staggering. We need a new industry here fast, as people are leaving the state in droves.

I'm not big on Xmas but the end of a year is a perfectly good time to take stock of things and, yes, for me too the folks on this board have been a great spur to further discovery as well as a liberation from the inhibitions of geography.

Music is a spiritual thing for me and I suspect that's true for just about everyone here. That's really not true for most people out there. It's nice to be able to share the passion with no hold-back. But it goes beyond music. The folks on this board prevent my mind from closing; they prevent me from following my brother's footsteps and deciding "ok, that's it. I've had my last new experience and thought my last new thought." And that's probably the most valuable thing of all.

...I wish a happy and contented time to all during this season/ and yes its not been easy getting around Grant's passing, you folk have made it possible.I enjoy the new music discussed , the differing views of the The GoB's past and above all the mutual love of the art and skill of this great band.

Best wishes to all, joyaux noelle, lustig Weihnachten, hartelijk gefeliciteerd.
