One of the all-time great journalists. A man almost single-handedly responsible for informing American that Vietnam was a losing proposition and then, later, giving us perspective on why we lost. Plus, he wrote a great book on the Jordan-era Chicago Bulls. His passing is a reminder that there are few Halberstams left among the lap dogs who pass for reporters nowadays. |
