Merry Christmas, Jerry and everyone.

What are we all planning to do on this New Year's Eve, anyway?

I'm getting dressed up, head to toe, in my bowling whites and heading down to the local Lawn Bowls Club for a quiet night's bowling into the wee small hours of the new year, with some friends. I play lawn bowls and manage the local pennant team.

Life's just full of unexpected moments like this..

the rem dvd has virtually all the videos since 1988.
there are also 3 live songs from the trafalgar square show.
the talking heads dvd is all promos from 1980-88 and the clip from 'until the end of the world' of sax & volins.

It is? ..and "Anyway"?

Lindy is 52. Robert is 47 this month. Grant and the other Robert are both 40 somethings.

What age do you think that THEY percieve their fans to be and why do you draw conclusions about appropriate 'image' based on age (or is it sport?).

Additionally, what draws you to the conclusion that I am concerned for "boosting" the band's image, or that what I said has anything to do with their image? The logical backbone of your thinking appears to be that you think that THEY would be dissatisfied with their 'image' if their music appeals to people of their own age. A corollary of that position is that you think that they would be even less satisfied with it if their music appealed to the 'old aged'. Do tell me, at what age do people become less attractive to the GBs?

fuck off.

Ok, it was a Joke.

Not very funny though. Don't appear to be making generalisations when using sarcasm.

Just come strait at me and I'll laugh. I would have asked me for advice on incontinence pads or for my thoughts on gout remedies. Bowling is an education.

Jerry's comment was funny. Jeanie simply revealed a lack of knowledge about lawn bowls. In our community, teenagers play competition lawn bowls and they also play tennis and golf.

My daughter is having a social lawn bowls day/nighter later this month as a fundraiser (book early). Serious bowlers don't like to play with amateurs so I am hoping to be skip of my team.

Mother and daughter on the green together is a fine tradition that I always like to hear about.

Many of my teams are Husband & Wife combinations. I have a standing policy that they are always picked in the same team. It's funny, you know; the wives love it and the husbands never complain. ;)

Sounds nice, but have you seen 'Bowling for Columbine'?
