What a thrilling ride watching The British Open over the weekend. The weather here in Michigan was too nice for me to stay indoors and watch all of it, but I caught most of it. I'm glad Padraig won despite knocking two balls into the Barry Burn for double bogey on the final hole in regulation. Losing at the point could have hauted him for the rest of his life. |

Geography isnt my strong point Michael, but shouldnt you have taken yourself along to watch Chicago Fire vs Glasgow Celtic (I know Michigan must be massive, but thats in your area right?). Celtic managed a 1-1 draw, not bad considering they are still in pre season training and the Fire are halfway through their season and should be very fit. Very large Celtic crowd apparently. On the golf, I saw the play off and although Padraig looked to have won it easily that last hole was still a thriller. |

The last major even next year, the 2008 PGA, will be at Oakland Hills, which is 20 minutes from my house. I'm thinking about going. Oakland Hills used to be on the regular US Open rotation until the new high tech golf balls and clubs made it too easy for US Open standards. It's now been toughened up and lengthed, so next years event will be a trial to get it back into being a regular US Open rotation stop like it use to be. |

Now my first name is going to be known around the world! He will do for Padraig what Sean Connory did for Sean! |

It looks like Padraig Harrington's distant cousin NFL quarterback Joey Harrington of the Atlanta Falcons will be getting a second chance of being a starter thanks to that piece of shite Michael Vick. http://www.newsday.com/sports/football/n y-spvick0725,0,5823514.story?coll=ny-hom epage-mezz |
