This site has become a little sad lately. Anybody want to talk music? ..something? ..anything!

Sombody must have somethin' to say. Has the 'The Cat Empire' broken in the UK yet? You won't believe it when you here it. Probably they are only a passing fad but they definately have a different sound.

Plato distinguished between a fool and a wise man as follows:
'A fool is someone who has to say something, a wise man is someone who has something to say.'

I will talk about music I don't love. Neil Diamond - say no more. And, a close second, John Williamson - yes, I was the one who convinced the International Rugby Union people to ban the singing of Waltzing Matilda.

Cichli, since you asked - there's a bit of both in everyone (myself included) to varying degrees. 'Haven't I been a fool'?

Hey, Neil's not so bad but John Williamson's hardly a musician.

At least Neil had nice taste in music and wrote a dececent tune or three. 'Solitary Man', 'Song Sung Blue' and 'Sweet Caroline' are all great. A few others as well. Have you got somethin' against us guys dessin' up in designer Cowboy suits anyway?

..perfectly natural thing to do, IMHO.

I rarely dress in anything else.

I never remove my hat when indoors, always sleep in my boots and I've never used underwear.

See; perfectly normal in every respect...

Ah yes, now that is truely wise. We all say things we regret, some more than others. The thing is, to never feel regret is never to risk saying anything new. It's a puzzle we each must sort.

The Go Betweens Broke up in 1990. 16 lovers lane is the last album. I think that without Lindy Morrison,Robert Vickers, or Amanda Brown the new material sounds like a different band. friends of rachel worth and BYBO never should have been released under the name Go Betweens.

No, well maybe not. But it's not that important to established fans who have no difficulty in separating the two.

I think that we can agree that whilst there can be no comparisons, the two major releases have not brought disrespect to the name. They are good albums. BYBO is very good.

The B sides on the C&I single where someone's mistake.
