Bunch of itinerents that they are, I think the Go-betweens are trying to get into the Guiness Book of Records for the number of record labels they've been on.

Able, Postcard, Missing link, Rough Trade, Sire, Beggars Banquet, Capitol (in their first incarnation)
Tag 5, WMinc, Triefka, Lo-max, Jetset, Circus, Wonderground ...the list is endless (almost).

OK, alot of these operate in different territories, but we've had Tag 5, Circus and Lo-max in Europe in the past few years.

Australia'a had WMinc and Triefka.

Does any of this really matter? I suppose not!

On the subject, will there ever be a pro-am golf reality tv show.
rock stars train with professionals for a week and in a tense finale play the pro's for ultimate glory.
If it happens, remember you heard it here first.

In Australia they were also on Mushroom for 16LL, Truetone I think for Tallulah, and I'm pretty sure Before Hollywood was released on Stunn...
Anything to take my mind off this election.

My vinyl for "Liberty Belle" and "Tallulah" are both Truetone pressings, who I believe Ed Kuepper had a couple of records with. "Before Hollywood" was definetly released locally on Stunn. There is no need to mention this though as there is a very thorough discography elsewhere on this site.

On the subject of labels, the CD faces of the 2004 reissues don't replicate the vinyl labels like the 2002 set. Bernard MacMahon wrote on the Tallulah mailing list that this was because when they experimented this time around it didn't look very good. I wonder if they only experimented with the Beggars Banquet labels or if they tried to vary it (ie, Capitol label for 16LL, Big Time label for Tallulah). Anything to take my mind off this hangover...

Can you recommend anything to take my mind off your spelling of 'definitely', Pete?

Oh, and how did you enjoy the New Estate show on Friday night?

Hey, go easy on my spelling Dr Nichols.

Yeah, I always enjoy New Estate. They were pertikularlee loose on Friday. I was particularily drunk, too. I had my reservations the first time I saw them with the new bass player but now I think he adds a lot of character to the band (a band that already oozes character - wish he'd work out the changes to "Love Bite" though). It's great that there's yet another songwriting voice in the band too. That bouncy number of his is very good (what is the lads name?). I really like what they're doing and look forward to a new album.

Lad's name is Brad.
Love Bite is one of Marc's best songs but he hates it and continually wants to drop it, so I suppose that's not much of an incentive for others to learn it properly.

by the way, "FORW" and "BYBO" were released in Europe with the exclusion of the UK on the clearspot label.

Will a new Go-B's album be coming out on Lo-Max records or Circus?

UK-Lo Max
Japan: Wonderground
US: Jet Set
Europe: tuition
Australia: ???

In the past there was also a italian version of FORW on Family Affair, and some older albums were released on Rebel Records in Germany
