Seriously, I recall Stipe "coming out" way back in the early 90s (in a somewhat oblique and anti-climactic way, of course). Perhaps this is the REM marketing machine's cheap way of drumming up some more interest in the new album? | ||

he really didn't...it was something everyone knew but he - as frontman of the biggest band in the world - never said anything about publicly, which i always found a sour point. he seems to have reconciled all of this along the way somewhere and recognises how genuinely important (heh...a reach, i know) it is. | ||
