Some good advices about some present bands, which sound similar to Television, Velvet Underground, early Talking Heads, and of course GoB?
I've just discovered Luna, even if they recently did split...

Thanks and best wishes to you all

Similar to Television and Talking Heads at the same time, that ain't too easy. Try British Sea Power maybe, that's my favourite album of the last 5 years probably - a wide variety of influences from post-punk to dream pop, with the singer sounding a bit like David Bowie. Though I would never compare them musically to GoB, I think this is the similar sense of sensitivity, I mean the BSP and some bands you mentioned. Debut album "The Decline Of British Sea Power", highly recommended.

The Arcade Fire? Surely heavily Talking Heads-influenced, but generally an eclectic one. Great debut album "Funeral" released this year.

Oh, Interpol, but is there anyone who didn't hear them? Someone mentioned earlier here, I think, "The House Jack Kerouac Built" as a perfect song to cover for them.

Best wishes
