I have a recording featuring Nick Cave backed by the Go-Betweens (the band is called The Cavemen for this gig) in Melbourne Jan 16, 1982. I have seen two possible venues for this. A Nick Cave site lists it as Royal Oak Hotel, whereas this Go-Betweens site lists it as the Tiger Lounge. Which is correct? It contains the following songs: - Downtown Swinging Town - I Don't Care, Yeah - Dead Joe - Ring Of Fire It lasts for 27 minutes and seems more like a jam than a proper concert. Does anyone have any other info on this gig? |
