Where are Adele and Glenn? The cover pic I have seen for the new album features Robert and Grant, as does the main photo on this web site. BYBO contained a photo that featured only Robert and Grant. TFORW showed Janet and Adele on the insert, but only Robert and Grant on the cover. Are Adele and Glenn members of the Go-Betweens or have they been reduced to a backing band? | ||

Yes, Glenn and Adele are occasional members, for both recordings and tours. But I MUST see Lindy, Amanda and John back with Robert and Grant if they come out down under again!!! Wouldn't you love to see them too? | ||

RE : Glenn and Adele ( to Be or not to Be) I'm from Brisbane , and have been hanging around the local music scene for , may I say, "donkeys years". I used to see Adele and Glenn play around the haunts of Brissy in the early 90's . Glenn played on Roberts solo album "calling from a country phone" and then next album , Robert accruded Adele and Glenn, I saw them in 1995 , touring his 'Warm nights " album. very cool 3 piece! Glenn and Adele also played the first "new" gobetweens show in Brissy, then did the show in Paris and have been playing with them ever since ( apart from when Glenn joined "Custard" a fantastic brisbane pop band (influeneced by the Go Bs) Adele played with Grant in :The Far Out Corporation : the album is in my top 10. Whether they are called "just" a backing band or a "Go Between" , they have certainly been part of the sound and creative spirit for along time..and I can't wait for the next album!! |
