Robert Forster is to appear as a contestant on the SBS music trivia quiz show RocKwiz on Saturday 2 April. The show, which is filmed in the Esplanade Hotel's Gershwin Room, will also feature Robert performing a duet with Lisa Miller on the song Picture This.

Without giving too much away, apparently Robert's master blaster topic is Bob Dylan: 50 years of genius!

I'll actually be at the Espy this Saturday night at that time. If only it was live to air. When was it filmed?

I'll be at the Australia vs Iraq football internation in Olympic Stadium on Saturday night. Anyone else on this site going to the match? I'm one of the few Sydneysiders on the board though I think.

It was filmed about 6 weeks ago Peter. They do it on a weeknight or something.

Sorry Pádraig, I'm a Brisbane boy ;-)

this is fascinating news. Can you tell me what this quiz show is like? Robert is asked different kinds of questions about Bob Dylan, and then can win something?

I've only seen two episodes of the show but I don't think the celebrity guests win anything. They do all sing a song by themselves, however, as well as a duet with the other celeb (in this case, Lisa Miller). The speciality round for the celebs is devised to win their team a lot of points. The other two members on the team are picked out of the audience earlier in the evening. It's all done in a spirit of fun. The host is a female comedian I've seen on several shows but can't remember the name of. I'd be interested to find out what people like Dave Graney, Paul Kelly, Tim Rogers and Angie Hart picked as their area of speciality in the earlier episodes I missed (I didn't expect to see Tex Perkins showcase an expert-level of knowledge on "Countdown," that's for sure). Can anyone tell me?

Paul Kelly did pretty well on the topic of New York's '60s folk scene. However Katey Steele (from Little Birdy) bettered him on the opposing team by answering everything correctly on soul divas. I wonder how Forster went? Had to work and got Mum to tape it. Bless her.

Wish my mum knew how to work her VCR as I forgot to set mine last night. And I call myself a fan. Could somebody please fill us in on Forster's performance.

Robert opened with a rocking German Farmhouse. He got 5/5 for the Dylan questions and his team won 215 vs 150. The duet with Lisa Miller was just ok. They performed Picture this by Blondie.

What did you make of the Aussies' performance Padraig? Missed most of it, saw the late goal but gather it was all a bit dire. I forsee some bad times ahead against the S Americans.

Thanks to this game going over time, my timer ended up recording about half of the news before the tape got tangled in the video player. I got nothing. Why is it on a saturday night anyway?

Hi Rob, it was not a good game, but all three goals were very good, particularly Ahmed Elrich's one after he'd been on the pitch for about 40 seconds. If we play like that against Venezuela or whoever there is no doubt that we will be hammered. But I would not put too much store in it. Tim Cahill, for instance, was very ordinary. I suspect this had a lot to to with his new found 20 million pounds price tag and Everton being under the gun after losing to Liverpool (hurrah!). I've been emailing my Everton supporting friends - all two of them - to say that Tim did them proud by protecting the club's investment. Hopefully he will pull out all the stops against the South Americans (assuming we beat Solomon Islands first!).

Mr Forster wore a lovely striped jacket and played a gorgeous hollow-body Gretsch. I assume it was not his, but I reckon he should keep it. He looked great with it.

A friend of mine who is not a GBs fan (I'm working on it) inadvertently taped the show while trying to tape the soccer or a movie. She later told me, "I can see why you like him so much." Then she told me that I'm just like him! I wish.

I want to be in Sydney/Brisbane for the (assumed) Socceroos game in November against the mystery S Americans... to have a Go Betweens supporters' banner wd be perfect. Something from "German Farmhouse" is appropriate, given the World Cup will be in Germany in '06. We could have a big banner with "Every morning I'd wake up with a smile from ear to ear".

I think Brisbane is getting the Solomons game while Sydney is getting the South American game. I will be getting tickets as soon as it is announced. We can meet beforehand maybe.

Good stuff. Just back from seeing the NSW Waratahs lose to the Christchurch Crusaders in rugby. I see more sporting than music events these days.
