From The Zoo website:

WEDNESDAY 30.07.08
RANGER, THE SLUMS | DOORS 8:00PM | COST $15.00 / $12.00

Ranger is: Adele Pickvance (The Go-Betweens, Dave Graney, Robert Forster), Martin Lee (Regurgitator, Nightstick) and Cameron McKenzie (Accomplished screen composer and songwriter). He brings to Ranger an acoustic guitar, a book of songs, and an unforgettable voice.

Ranger have risen up in the last year as a band with a classic sound, full of lush harmonies and soul with a sometimes dark country edge. A band only few have seen but many are talking about. They are already gaining airplay on ABC radio and recently voted itunes 'single of the week'. Ranger are just getting started for what the critics are suggesting will be a big year ahead.

In preparation to his up coming appearance at this years Splendour In The Grass, Robert Forster and his band will take to the stage as special guest to Ranger's show. Playing under the name The Slums, Robert will joining long time collaborator and friend, Adele Pickvance's band Ranger, as they showcase yet to be released material.
