Does anyone here know who took the B & W slightly/ intentionally blurred Warholish cover photos for the 16 Lover's Lane record ? Are there any other photos in this sequence from this same shoot out there anywhere ? I was puzzled as to why there were no other shots like these inside the booklet to the recent 16 LL double-disc release & no shots from this session evident in the David Nichols book either. These are great photos in an artistic light, not to metion that Lindy, you look Hott babe !! |

Cant find that thread but was old friend of mine going back to early 70's called Robyn Stacey who took those shots. Well she took my shot, must have done the lot but as we weren't able to meet as a group at the time for anything don't know if she took the others but looks like it., |

In relation to the shot Andy W thing, I always intentionally wanted to look like that, I loved that bio on Edie Sedwick, anyone read it? Seen the photo of me on the back of one of the albums, early, with drum sticks modelled on her. That was after I read that bio. |

Thanks Lindy for coming on-thread with the info on the photographer > I always wondered who took those photos, they are extroardinary, especially the one of you - I caught the Edie Sedgwick vibe right away, I remember the first time I saw the 16 Lovers Lane record, It was late '80's & I was in Chicago at Rose Records and a 16 LL vinyl LP was on the wall with the new releases, The Warholesque feel of the cover drew me immediately to it from across the store, and I was delighted to see it was the new record from the Go Betweens, one of my all-time fave groups ! There was a huge sized 16 LL poster on Ebay a week or so ago, I had a bid down but somebody sniped me on it - ruined my week ! |

What did it go for? I just sent Tim Forsland one of those recently. |

The opening bid was five bucks, it was a couple hours to close, so I bid $15 and went out to shop - when I got back it had ended & I had been sniped, next time I'll fight to the bitter end ! |

Sorry to have ruined your week. I'm a big fan of 16 Lovers Lane and you would have had a battle on your hands with the auction. Hopefully another one will come up soon. I rpomise I'll stay out !! Today I purchased a signed poster of the Forster-McLennan shows at the Continental in May 1999. The show was a special occasion for me as it was the first time I introduced my wife to the Go-Betweens music. |
