I was reading the link to The Scotman interview http://news.scotsman.com/features.cfm?id=490412005 with Robert Forster & Grant Mclennan and they talked about the fact that they always stay in The Columbia hotel when in London. The Columbia is the hotel of choice for bands on the up or without excess money to spare. I was wondering what other hotels the band preferred to stay in when on tour. I read that Robert insists on staying in a hotel rather than on the tour bus. In Liverpool where I'm from I would guess they stayed in the Adelphi Hotel which like The Columbia has a hint of that faded glamour and its right in the centre of the city but I cant be sure. Where do they stay in Glasgow for instance or Bournmouth? I guess in NYC they stay in The Chelsea ??? Any ideas? |
