A lyric I wrote the other night between songs at a karaoke bar in Tacoma, Washington. After I was finished I read it and thought it had a "Go-Betweens feel" to it... Comments? "Dragon Kites" Right now I wish I was sitting in a little bar in pre-war Tokyo, with two Geisha girls, a plate of sushi, and a box of good sake. The calligraphy waves in the breeze, the Temple bells ring, as a tram whispers by, and dragon kites fill the sky. What happened to the Tokyo I love without the neon and smoke? A storm of 29s blew it away, it belongs to another day. All that is left is the Diet and dragon kites. The winds of time have not been kind, to ancient Dai Nippon. It is now just Nintendo and karaoke. Yamamoto in his grave cries, for a smog filled sky, where dragon kites still fly. |

Was going to say it had a little Robert feel to it, but then read it again and thought Grant... Howdy neighbor (I'm about 70 miles south of you), and welcome to the board... |
