Alfredo - cards on the table!! would you have noticed the distorted sound(which you mention in your review) if you hadnt read the post about it on here? the reason i ask is because you are the only reviewer to have mentioned it, and i must have read about 20 reviews of the album | ||

It's pretty noticeable, especially on "Finding You." I noticed the same thing on the new Sleater Kinney album, except in their case it's intentional (but who knows? Both bands are pals). | ||

HA! I was the one (jerkwater or shaq or whatever) that first said it sounded like "life during wartime", and a lot of people disagreed. Some info on this Franklin Bruno character, the writer of the article (I am not him)-- he used to be in a band called Nothing Painted Blue and also released albums under his own name. What's interesting is that his band recorded a cover of "rock and roll friend" way back in the early 90's. that was the first time I'd ever heard that song. |
