We should do a pre-show gathering before the concert. Greg Adams e-mailed me that befroe the Double Door show in 1999, there was a nice pre-show Tallulah gathering.

Any suggestions on where?

The Abbey Pub has a "pub side" that serves food and drink. Tuesdays are "$2.00 burger" night. What about meeting on the "pub side" about 6:00? (Doors open at 8, show starts at 9, and there are two opening acts - "The Double" and "Robert Skoro" so the GB's won't be on until I would guess 10:30 - 11) Anybody heard of the opening acts?

6:00 on the "pub side" sounds good. The location couldn't be more convenient!

Robert Skoro is one of the GBs' label-mates on Yep-Roc and supposedly sounds like The Shins or Jeff Tweedy. I've never heard of The Double.

Great, 6:00 sounds perfect. For those that will be new to the gathering and not recognize us, there will be the usual (well, usual for us anyway) calling card at the table where we meet - a banana! (Extra points for those that know the Go-Betweens / banana connection!)

It's a line from a Robert song... at least that's what I think you told me when I met you in Sydney Austin! Neither of us had bananas then - we just met in the usual Sydney way: at the Town Hall steps. The Dublin equivalent is under Clery's Clock (also a song title by The Radiators), or outside the GPO. I need to get out more, obviously.

The banana is a reference to "I'm Your Fan," the Leonard Cohen tribute album. All of the participants, including Forster, are pictured holding bananas.
