Nice show last night at the MuffatHalle. The band seemed quite relaxed and appeared to enjoy themselves. Robert spoke in good German throughout.

Due to the acoustics of the place, I found the sound to be harsh and grating, certainly not a warm sound. Grant was on acoustic guitar except for one or two numbers and his sound suffered particularly.

Highlights were the extended version of Draining the Pool, with Robert scatting a la Van Morrison. Donīt worry, it was cool and funny, folks. And a verse of Dylanīs "Love Minus Zero" thrown in to the middle of a beautiful acoustic rendition of "Clouds".

There were three encores and they finished with a song that sounded familiar but I couldnīt immediately place: A Grant song called "Satellite"? I really dont listen to Grantīs solo stuff enough. Is it possibly new?

And I managed to get a copy of the Live in London CD. After travelling from Italy especially for this gig I waited around to say hello to the band but, alas, nobody showed. Still, a good night was had by Mrs Suite and I.

Oh, and can I say again that I love Adele Pickvanceīs harmonies which really lift some of the songs in a live setting.
