Preview of tonight's show (I'm bouncing up and down in my chair at work in anticipation): http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/Content?oid=21785 |

Plus it may be the only time "motherfucking" has been used as an adjective before the name Go-Betweens! |

Wow, that's a fairly gushing article. (Sorry... am on jury duty at the moment, amused myself today reading a long piece about led zeppelin's debauchery during their 1970s tours, in the vanity fair magazine among those provided in the jury room; and this after re-skimming David Nichols earlier this week whilst still in the glow of the NYC - area shows.) And if something like that article don't pull 'em in...? - |

I'm worried it may just be me and the author of the Stranger article at the show tonight: Built to Spill (very popular in this area) and the Futureheads are both playing shows in Seattle tonight, which will siphon off a lot of the college radio crowd that might normally check out the GoBs. In any case, it's only a 220-seat venue; the Triple Door is almost like a dinner theatre. |

Well, at least you'll be surrounded by true fans that won't use it as an excuse for only socializing (talkin' about people talkin' when they should be listening to the music)! Misery loves company: on a lark, I investigated (via travelocity) a possible flight from EWR to SEA (it's still not too late for an east-coaster to make the show). (Have done such things in the past, at the last minute; it's fun, and have got some great bargains.) NOTHING available. - |
