Quick report on Jack Frost at the Continental Cafe in Melbourne, Sunday 3 March 1996. Steve on 12 string acoustic resplendant in full beard and pony tail tied back with a fetching bow, Grant on 6 string acoustic recently clean shaven and close cropped. Couldn't get the set list as it was the only one they had, but they played a main set of just under 1 hour, all Jack Frost songs except the Go-Betweens "Bye Bye Pride" (obviously without the beautiful oboe of Amanda Brown), then Grant did "Right Here" and "Lighting Fires" and Steve joined for the final song. All in all nothing special, 70 minutes of two guys playing a few songs and taking turns with token anecdotes. The venue is small and wasn't packed, only 150-200 people. Still, it was good to see such a rare Jack Frost performance.
